Well we are getting there. This has definitely taken longer than expected. And more 💲. But its starting to look like a home now. The last two projects were removing the ugly front door and remodeling the atrocious bathroom. We turned the beyond weird jack and jill bathroom into a full and 3/4. That was a project.
Front Door
The front door proved itself to be a little more complicated than it was to install the interior doors. I did most of it myself with a little help from Renae, my sister, finding some useful YouTube videos and the handyman. After some hassle we got the old door out and began trying to put in the new door. However, it proved to be too much and I couldn’t get it flush. Luckily, I have an awesome handyman who was able to come over the next day and finish installing it. I finished up the trim and did some touch up painting. Joel put in the storm door last week. And we have another project checked off the list! My favorite part of the door besides the style is the number code lock. No more keys to lose!

Bathrooms
Almost all of this I had the handyman do. Thank you Heidi for recommending him. He takes his time getting things done but he is well priced and does a good job. I did the trim, paint, and hung the doors. Also I picked out the design and all the hardware.
I love these bathrooms compared to what it was. Before there were two entrances, one from the bedroom and one from the hallway. It had two toilets separated by a shower. Who makes that design choice. It was abysmal. The bathroom was a total remodel except for the cupboard behind the shower. But now we have two fully separate bathrooms with lots of updates. Including water saving toilets. Not to mention the backsplash in the full bath. 😍 I love it. I’m so glad to have these bathrooms completed.
We just have the kitchen left and then we get to move on to the outside. Both of which need to be completely redone also. It’s a fun process but I do wish it was done.
